Thought ninja, writer, significant other, managing director, former GB athlete. Which label fits best for you?
Like most people, I feel a bit awkward and egotistical writing about myself. So to help me write this page, I decided to imagine I was writing it for someone else. The following paragraph was the result:
Steve Walsh is Managing Director of Jump, a marketing agency that focuses on solving organisational problems and engaging people. Alongside his team at Jump Towers, Steve works with organisations large and small on marketing strategy, growth, culture and transformation. He also takes on personal projects when and if the challenge takes him. `Coffee connoisseur, purveyor of Indian pale ale and slightly addicted to buying shoes, deep down Steve is just a curious soul who enjoys working with people who have a true passion, ambition and an understanding that better never stops.
How did I get to this point?
I’d love to say it was a carefully planned, meticulously executed master plan – but I’d be lying.
Once-upon-a-time I walked into a gymnastics club …. and 21 years later I walked out having met some of the most amazing people you could wish to meet.
Scientific strategists, passionate performers, kings of culture and atomic thinkers – those years learning from some of the sharpest minds in international sport as I travelled the world as gymnast helped to shape pretty much everything that came since.
From aiming high to treating people as unique and brilliant individuals, I learned how to try to be the best, from the best.
